Where Do I Fly Into?

Please book your flight into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Most airlines offer direct flights. It helps to set flight alerts on websites like Kayak.com, HipMunk, Priceline, Expedia, CheapOAir or Skyscanner to watch for flight prices.

It would be ideal to arrive in Puerto Vallarta on February 18, 2017 sometime between 11:30am to 1:30pm. Ideal departure times on February 25, 2017 would be 12:30pm to 2:30pm. If you cannot match these times, no worries, we’ll get you to Chacala!

Also, put into account that it will take 80-90 mins to travel to Chacala from PVR. As soon as I get your travel arrangements, I will set up the shuttles.

Most of the group departing from Chicago are on these two flight options:

OPTION 1

Saturday Feb 18 2017 Depart ORD on American Airlines #2517 9am Arrive PVR 134pm

Saturday Feb 25 2017 Depart PVR on American Airlines #2296 1230pm Arrive ORD 441pm

OPTION 2

TBD

Please feel free to consult with Jenny about your preferred round trip flight plan so that she can coordinate your shuttle to Mar de Jade. If you plan to fly in before the retreat begins or stay longer to spend time in Puerto Vallarta or any neighboring towns, you will be responsible for your own shuttle to/from Mar de Jade.

What Do I Pack?

There are no weight limitations outside of your airlines’ specifications, which is usually 50lbs of check-in. However, consider packing light since we will be in warm weather. Maybe pack a light sweater for the cool, ocean breezy nights. Also, pack a “white outfit” for our Wednesday night salsa night! Many props are available in Mar de Jade’s yoga studios, including mats, straps, blocks, blankets, and pillows so feel free to leave your mat at home if you’d like. If you want to bring your own mat, my favorite mat bag is the Yopa Mat Backpack. It holds your mat and more and you carry it like a backpack. Very convenient.

If you plan on doing excursions, please bring proper shoes (Vibrams, Tevas, hiking shoes) and clothing.
