 Green Grotto Caves

Green Grotto Caveswww.greengrottocavesja.comThe Green Grotto Caves is a natural labyrinth of underground caves featuring unique rock formations, stalactites, stalagmites, and an abundance of overhead ceiling pockets with pristine waters flowing from its secret depths. The story goes that slaves hid here during the English/Spanish War. 5 minute drive from Jaquar. Cost: $20 entry fee

Island Village Shopping

  • Island Village Shopping– The nearest “big city”,  fun shopping,  restaurants, night clubs, crafts markets,  hotels, beaches, banks, cruise ship pier with Island Village shopping are. Get your souvenirs here. 15 minute drive from Jaquar. http://islandvillageja.com

Waasi Art

Authentic Jamaican art, the finest hand crafted pottery masterpieces in the making. Located in Ocho Rios, 20 minute drive. www.wassiart.com

Blue Hole Secret Falls

This is another amazing waterfalls attraction. But this one is still a bit of a secret with very few tourists. Hidden up in the mountains, here, you don’t climb up (like Dunn’s) but you JUMP DOWN the waterfall holes! Fantastic place! Count me in! 45 to 1 hour drive from Jaquar. Cost: $15 entry fee.

Dunn’s River Falls

  • Dunn’s River Falls– The is the only natural waterfall in the world that can be climbed. Be sure to wear sturdy water shoes. Challenge yourself! Always a must when you visit Ocho Rios. 15 minute drive from Jaquar. Cost: $25 entry fee.

 

Dolphin Cove

Next to Dunn’s River Falls. Swim with dolphins, shark, and rays. The place is reproduction of the Old Port Royal. 15 minutes from Jaquar. Cost: Varies on your choice of adventure. https://www.dolphincoveja.com/Parks/dolphin-cove-ocho-rios

Rainforest Jamaican Bobsled

  • Mystic Mountain– High up in the jungle mountains, there’s bobsledding, ziplining, etc. Even going up there is pretty cool—in a ski-lift overlooking magnificent view of the ocean and jungle. Prospect Plantation

Ride camels,  open-air carriage ride,  feed ostriches, butterfly aviary, or horseback river ride. Located in Ocho Rios, 20 minute drive. www.prospectplantationtours.com

Stush in the Bush

It is the combination of Rastafari and Chic. It is the blending of Ital farming and exotic vegatables. Enjoy a morning yoga class, farm to table lunch and a walking tour of ZionItes, their 15-acre certified organic farm in the cool hills of St. Ann. A breathtaking landscape, where things move slowly, and luxury resides in simplicity and a connection to the Earth. Cost: Yoga class led by local instructor Kayla Hanson and organic vegetarian lunch $50. Must reserve ahead of time. 30 minutes from Jaquar. Cost: $50 pp

Catamaran Day Trip

Go on a day trip on the ocean with cocktails and lunch onboard a catamaran, or better yet, sail to a private cove and have a BBQ cookout at the beach with music. A wonderful day customized to your wishes. Cost: Varies between $40-$60
